# Cred/Grain Dynamics

Ok great! So how does one get Cred, and thus Grain?

By contributing to the SourceCred community of course. More concretely, SourceCred is running a “[CredSperiment](https://discourse.sourcecred.io/t/about-the-credsperiment/181)” to mint Cred and Grain for the community on a weekly basis. There’s a lot to unpack in the [CredSperiment category](https://discourse.sourcecred.io/c/the-credsperiment), but the [introduction](https://discourse.sourcecred.io/t/introducing-the-credsperiment/183) is a great place to start.
