# Smart(er) cred minting: supply/demand modeling

I emphatically agree, @burrrata. The only diff is instead of using GitHub issues, we should use [initiatives](https://discourse.sourcecred.io/t/about-the-initiatives-category/242). This is why every initiative has a “references” section.

I want the Cred that people earn from ❤s to be the “small change” of the SourceCred world. The bigtime cred should come from having ideas that are relevant to things that really get built.
