# Features

## Supernodes

We need the [Supernodes](https://discourse.sourcecred.io/t/supernodes-moving-past-raw-activity/340) system because it allows SourceCred to focus on outcomes and not just activity. Without it, SourceCred risks badly misbehaving at scale or when there are bad actors in the community.

## Boosting

[Boosting](https://discourse.sourcecred.io/t/sourcecred-boosting-a-prediction-market-on-ideas/306) will serve many functions:

- Helps set the right Cred values on the initiatives and artifacts from the Supernodes system
- Gives you something to do with Grain, closing the loop so that you both earn Grain and Boost with it
- Done right, it will be fun 🙂

- [The ability to move Grain onto an ERC20 token.](https://discourse.sourcecred.io/t/an-erc20-that-to-track-grain/386)
- Will be important for crypto early adopters
- We’re likely to build it soon because we need it, anyway
